Make Your February 14 Extra Special This Year

Romance is the main language of the heart. That is why every year we even have a special day to celebrate it!

All relationships command some work to keep the passion burning high. Romance is sexy and powerful and for most of us a necessity to our lives. When we show the special partner in our lives that they are special to us, we are being romantic.

Even though males and women come from different 'planets' and they have their own ideas about what is romantic, no matter what planet you are from, it always feels so wonderful when someone you love do their best to spoil you no

matter which way they go about it.

Whatever you do, February 14 should be about spending quality timewith your soul mate, and not about the giving of presents as such.

This year, to make your Valentines Day exceptional, why not do things a bit different to the way you would ordinarily do? Give the special gift of your time instead of expensive presents.

In 5 years time, which do you think your partner will recall fondest? The ear rings you bought them or the extraordinary way you made them feel?

Valentines Day Activities

Plan to spend a relaxing time at home rather than having to hurry to and from places! Rather than rushing out to a restaurant or a movie theater, why not bring Valentines Day to your own place?

Love Notes

The night before February 14, hide small love notes and mini chocolates in your loved one's motor car or briefcase so that they will find it on their way to work or while at work.

Watch a Valentines Day Sunrise!

Kick off your February 14 activities by watching the stunning miracle of the day dawning! How much more romantic can the start to your Valentines day be than to find a quiet place to sit and just be together, watching the sun slowly rising on the horizon, while sipping a cup of hot coffee from a thermos flask!

Bubble it up!

If do you get up to watch the break of day, you will in all likely hood have a bit of time available before either one of you have to rush off to work. Spend a bit of time and enjoy a nice hot shower or a fragrant bubble bath together.

Have a good breakfast together if time allows.

Order in!

Rather than spending your time preparing food, order in! Place an order for the food that your other half prefers and have it delivered at a specified time. That way, you get to relax too! While you wait for your meal to be delivered, play some romantic music to listen to in the background. Light some fragrant candles to set a romantic mood.

Pour some wine or champagne, and cuddle on the sofa or lay out a soft and cuddly blanket in front of a roaring fire. Sneak little hugs in between sips of wine or champagne.

Dance!

Enjoy a slow dance together. Slow dancing is a wonderful way to spend quality time together without having to talk. Listen to the music and just open yourself up to the magic of being together.

Have a flick marathon on a big screen!

Have a flick marathon watching the movies that your loved one will enjoy, all in the comfort of your own home. Rent a big screen Television for the day and turn it into your own home theater! Snuggle together on a big sofa, holding hands and sharing some laughter or tears watching a medley of flicks.

Laugh it up!

a) If your soul mate is not the movie watching kind, rent some funny Television Games, pull out the Play Station. Play against one another and be a kid again! You will most likely find that it is the most fun you have had in a while!

b) Get some Red and White blackboard chalk and write love messages to each other on a wall in your lounge. Draw big hearts with arrows through it. Draw caricatures of each other. Build your own Love Grafitti Wall! (Select a wall that will not get messed up by the chalk! The wall will clean up easy enough when you need it to - just wipe with a damp cloth).

Remember the saying: It's not that you don't play because you're too old, you get old because you don't play!

Most especially, ensure that you snuggle and hug and laugh for the day.

Do not bring up old fights or insecurities, there are 364 other days of the year for that!

Enjoy your Valentines Day!
