"The Singularity will be a future period during which the pace of technological change will be so rapid, its impact so deep, that human life will be irreversibly transformed," says Ray Kurzweil, keynote speaker at the Singularity Summit at Stanford on Saturday, May 13.
The conference brought together a range of thinkers about AI, nanotechnology, cognitive science and related areas to discuss issues such as whether social, psychological and ethical intelligence can keep up with our expanding cognitive abilities and will productive nanosystems soon emerge.
